Ultrasonic assisted system is a new technology of processing method which could enhance the milling and drilling performance through high frequency micro vibrations. Ultrasonic assisted system is constituted of 3 parts: ultrasonic generator, ultrasonic transducer and ultrasonic horn.Ultrasonic-assisted machining is different from traditional machining and relies on ultrasonic vibration.Among them, the tool holder for connecting the machine tool can be customized. It consists of a numerical control box, a vibrator and a tool head. The ultrasonic vibrator can be designed according to the basic range requirements of the actual application.
The machining technology of SP TECH ultrasonic tool holders is mainly used to reciprocate the tool in a fixed direction at a high-speed frequency of 20,000 to 40,000 times per second by the resonance effect. The amplitude can make the cutting removal in the machining process more effective, therefore simultaneously reducing the cutting force and chipping of hard-to-cut materials as well as optimizing the machined surface.
Since the ultrasonic handles contains electronic components, the power transmission method has become an essential part of the technology. SP TECH ultrasonic machining tool holder module utilizes the non-contact power transmission technology to transmit the electric power on the high-speed rotating tool. A patented precision actuation mechanism inside the tool holder then generates a high-frequency micro-vibration on the cutting tool edge. Neither consumables nor friction which causes tool wear do you need to worry, removing the limitation of the high spindle rotation speed advantage. Which achieves a win-win effect of stable and efficient production.
Working frequency | 20KHz |
Power | 500w |
Product mode | BT/ ISO/ HSK/ CAT series drilling machine handle |
Amplitude | 10um or more(adjustable) |
Speed | 20000 r/min |
Matching tool | Carbide drilling head Φ2-Φ10mm |
Ultrasonic machining is mainly used for drilling (including round holes, special-shaped holes and curved holes) of various hard and brittle materials, such as glass, quartz, ceramics, silicon, germanium, ferrite, gemstones and jade, cutting, slotting, nesting, engraving, deburring of batch small parts, polishing of mold surface and grinding wheel dressing.
Therefore, it is widely used in high-end electronic products, such as smart phones, tablet computers, smart TVs, handheld devices and liquid crystal displays (LCD).
1. Not limited by whether the material is conductive or not;
2. The tool has little macro force and thermal influence on the workpiece, so it can process thin-walled, narrow slit and thin-slice workpieces;
3. The greater the brittleness of the processed material, the easier it is to process, and the harder the material or the greater the strength and toughness, the harder it is to process;
4. Because the crushing of workpiece materials mainly depends on the action of abrasive, the hardness of abrasive shall be higher than that of processed materials, and the hardness of tools can be lower than that of workpiece materials;
5.It can be combined with other machining methods, such as ultrasonic vibration cutting, ultrasonic EDM and ultrasonic ECM.
